New NWA 4716 [Provisional] Meteorite. 8.2g.
Classification: H6 Chondrite
Shock Level: 4
Weathering Level: 5
TKW: 2008 grams
Endcut

This meteorite was analyzed by Bathurst Observatory as having
a shock value of 4 and a weathering level of 5. It was
originally found by Berber nomads in 2005, in Morocco/Algeria
region of the Sahara Desert and came to the US via bulk
                 shipment.

Embedded in this meteorite are wonderful shock-veins and spot
flecks of nickel/iron and presolar grains, which predate the
formation of our solar system. These presolar grains
originated elsewhere in the galaxy, meaning the specimen is
composed of materials older than the Earth and her Sun.

Scale cube is a 1 Cm Gibeon cube with hand lettered side done with
                 a permanent marker.
