Rocks from Space Picture of the Day May 8, 2008
55.7 gram endpiece from a 710g complete Pultusk specimen found in 2006 by
polish meteorite hunter. 138 years after fall this meteorite is still fresh
inside and in very good condition. Crust is moderate weathered and its very
soft and porous, but is still very visible after cleaning. Internal
structure show brecciated nature of the Pultusk H5 chondrite.
