STONY-IRON METEORITES
IMILAC
Found in Chile's Atacama desert in 1822. Numerous masses, large and small have been recovered over the years. The largest individual found was 450 pounds. Larger specimens, when sliced display a beautiful transparent olivine structure. Smaller specimens are metallic "skeletons".
Weight of this specimen is 36 grams.
